Hi! I’m Sarah Harmon
LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Therapist), Yoga/Mindfulness Teacher
Founder of The School of MOM and Sarah Harmon Wellness
“Life is not about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself.” This mantra rings true for me. My wellness journey has been and continues to be a lot of trial and error, exploration and seeking out the right support/resources. It started in college when a dear friend introduced me to yoga as an alternative to the daily wear and tear I was doing to my body through competitive sports and leading an active lifestyle. I was instantly hooked, and eventually went on to complete my yoga teacher training. I have come to learn on a deep level that healing a weary body is only part of practicing wellness. My continually evolving passion for a holistic approach to mind and body wellness led me to pursue a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lesley University in Boston and become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
I am passionate about a holistic approach to wellness, based on personal experience and thousands of hours working with clients.
In May 2020, I launched The School of MOM to provide women and moms with a resource to embrace the principles of mindfulness - curiosity, kindness, acceptance and discernment - and apply them to real- life scenarios and decision making to be the present, compassionate and resilient humans they want to raise.
I continue to work with companies, groups and individuals to support all humans in navigating a personal journey to wellness and living more mindful and intentional lives.
I currently live North of Boston with my hilarious husband and two daughters who keep me laughing every day. If I'm not teaching yoga/mindfulness or working with individual or group clients, you will most likely find me somewhere outside, kayaking on the pond we live on or skiing in New England.
“Sarah was the first therapist I’ve ever enlisted the help of. She was professional, responsive, and organized. We were able to meet in person as well as over a confidential video conferencing application, accommodating my need for flexibility. Not only did Sarah exceed my expectations from a business standpoint, the quality of our conversations and guidance I received from her helped me to successfully navigate a huge career change, while also learning to better navigate my day to day in my current work environment. I leave working with Sarah more joyful and confident, having a much better sense of what success means for me alongside tactics to diffuse, reframe, and respond to challenging situations and people. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who is in need! ”
