Practicing mindfulness means becoming a witness to our own thoughts, patterns and habits. How can this practice and awareness be brought into our interpersonal relationships? How can we become a witness to our habitual ways of reacting and interacting with others, and then use that information to practice healthier ways of communicating, responding and being with others? This session will discuss the incredible value of bringing mindfulness into relationships and will provide tools and practices to start your own exploration.

Happy people are healthier, live longer, have more friendships, are more productive, more creative, more generous, and have more fun. But what is happiness exactly? The good news is that happiness is a choice we make and is something that can be cultivated through awareness and practice. Join yoga teacher and psychotherapist, Sarah Harmon, for this interactive and informative workshop that will cover powerful insights from positive psychology research and tactical happiness-harvesting strategies. You will explore various tools and daily practices that will help you cultivate joy and peace of mind in your everyday life.

 



Yoga for Runners

What's your pre and post run routine if you have one at all? Do you haphazardly stretch or avoid it all together? Yoga is a great way to prevent and heal injuries, improve range of motion, build mental focus/toughness and generally improve your running overall!

In this workshop, yoga teacher and athlete Sarah Lowell Harmon, and special guest, Boston Marathon runner/coach and physical trainer, Sarah Lucas will teach you about the benefits of yoga and how you can safely and efficiently incorporate it into your daily routine and training program. You will learn a variety of tools and sequences to take with you, as well as information about yoga as a mental training tool. Whether your a casual runner or are working towards a marathon, this workshop will help promote the longevity of your running. Please come with any questions you have for a Q + A at the the end of the workshop.

Prenatal Mind & Body Workshop

Maintaining a healthy mind and body can be challenging during pregnancy - no matter what trimester, or what number pregnancy you're on! Join Sarah Harmon in this special workshop to learn helpful yoga practices for pregnancy and labor - including movement, postures with modifications, breathwork and self-massage using Yoga Tune Up therapy balls. You will leave with a variety of new tools to help alleviate common discomforts, be more mindful and help manage whatever pregnancy throws at you!

Be Your Own Bodyworker

This workshop will guide you through a variety of self-massage techniques using The Roll Model Method® and Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls to help you explore and awaken your whole body. You will begin to learn how you have the power and ability to eradicate pain, improve posture, prevent injuries and enhance performance in your practice, sport or daily life.The tools and techniques you will learn can be used any time, anywhere to roll your way to some relief. Be prepared to leave the workshop feeling refreshed, relaxed and more present in your body. No experience necessary. All bodies welcome.

Pelvic Floor & Posture

If you’re human, you have a pelvic floor and thus, this workshop is for you! As Jill Miller says, “posture follows us around like a shadow.” Most people have unhealthy posture, and this impacts the health of the pelvic floor. Strong posture not only helps you build overall body strength, but it is vital for the health of the pelvic floor. This workshop will help you assess and recalibrate your own posture, as well as give you valuable tools and exercises to work on maintaining a healthy pelvic floor. Workshop will include gentle movement/exercises, Yoga Tune Up® therapy ball rolling, lecture and Q&A. For women who have been pregnant, or are currently pregnant, compromised posture and general wear and tear on the body can magnify pelvic floor issues. This workshop is great for you, but is appropriate and useful for all bodies.

Be Your Own Bodyworker: Head, Neck & Shoulders

Do you spend hours at an office, in a car or have poor posture from the stress of the daily grind? This workshop is for those who have tight shoulders, necks or upper backs, experience headaches, or anyone that is looking to de-stress. You will be guided through a variety of self-massage techniques using Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls and restorative yoga poses to alleviate tension and pain, and improve mobility. The tools and techniques you will learn can be used any time, anywhere to roll your way to some relief. Be prepared to leave the workshop feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and with new tools to self-treat your neck, upper back and shoulders. No experience necessary. All bodies welcome!

Bellies, Breathing & Birth

This 75-minute workshop will guide you through prenatal yoga class of different postures and breathing exercises to promote better health & wellness during pregnancy, labor, and beyond. Learn how to apply and use the breath through each posture to reduce stress, increase circulation, prepare for labor, and more. You will be given an arsenal of anchoring tools, guiding your focus, concentration, and mindfulness throughout your pregnancy and especially during labor.

Balls & Bolsters

This unique class will guide you through a combination of full body self-massage using Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls, as well as restorative yoga to help you release pockets of tension and stress all over your body. The tools and techniques you will learn can be used any time, anywhere to roll and relax your way to some relief. Be prepared to leave the class feeling refreshed, rested and more present in your body. No experience necessary. All bodies welcome.

Mindfulness & Technology

Smartphones. They can be our best friends and worst enemies. Is your phone the first thing you reach for in the morning, and basically all day long? Do you pick up your phone and then wonder where 45 minutes went as you mindlessly scrolled social media? Have you ever said to yourself that you want to spend less time on your phone, but aren’t quite sure how to do that? This workshop is an opportunity to address all these questions by first tuning into your current relationship with your phone and understanding how it’s working for and against you. Numerous strategies to develop a more mindful and healthier relationship with your smartphone/social media will be discussed and practiced. We will also do a short “text thumb/neck" self-massage/yoga sequence to address the negative physical impact of endless scrolling!

Self-Care for Moms

Moms can easily get caught up focusing solely on their children's needs and neglect to take care of their own physical and emotional health. This class is geared towards moms, to help you find the time and energy to take care of YOU. Taught by mom to Libby, yoga teacher and psychotherapist, Sarah Harmon, this class will vary each month and include a combination of yoga, mindfulness, soft-tissue self massage and group talk. It is a unique opportunity for Moms to not only recharge and nurture themselves, but also to learn how to take self-care into their own hands when they can't get to a class or get away on a regular basis. Come exactly as you are! No babies for this class please.
